Essay Contest Rules

        *Eligible Students:  All 6th – 12th Grade Students in Polk County who do not currently have a           computer at home and are on free or reduced school meals.

        *Essay Topic:  “How a Home Computer will Benefit my Education and my Family”

        *Minimum of 500 words.  (The essay does not have to bE typed, but must be written legibly.)

        *Students must also have their parents complete and submit (with the essay) an application
          for a free refurbished computer that will be distributed to all qualified families.  (Please
          note: there is usually a waiting list for these computers)
